DDLJ - Memoirs from Switzerland

A trychel  (cow bell) is a bell worn by freely roaming livestock, so they don't run away or wander off without being heard. It is a large cow bell traditionally used in Switzerland. In the Early Middle Ages, bells were mostly reserved for religious purposes. In the High Middle Ages to the 14th century, they became popular also in secular pageantry such as knightly tournaments.

DDLJ has so many unforgettable memories with us and Swiss Cowbell is one of the most loved memoirs from that. The interesting thing is that the people in Switzerland also know about Indians' fascination with the Swiss Cowbells and are also aware of DDLJ factor. It is said that whoever visits Switzerland comes home with this beautiful gift which always reminds us of Raj & Simran.

Enjoy this scene from DDLJ...

  1. Could you please list all the places where DDLJ was shot in Switzerland? I've heard that most of the scenes have been shot in Saanen, Gstaad, Zweisimmen, and Interlaken in Switzerland. It would be great if you could mention the scene and the place where it has been shot. Thanking you !!
